What we do and why

We try and keep the monthly subscription as low as possible to make scouting as accessible as possible. This means that fundraising is essential to purchase the equipment and materials needed to provide a full and varied program of activities.

In addition to our general fundraising in the community such as store collections, cake sales and raffles. We attend the Barnstaple Carnival and help with the Round Table’s Santa Sleigh at Christmas time. We secure funding from grants and approaching local community aware businesses. How can I help?

There are many ways you can help and all help is very appreciated. Extra pair of hands at events, or even on meeting nights frees up leaders to do what we want them doing, planning and delivering a fantastic programme. The more we can do to ensure that they have the tools and time available to do this. As a charity we have some official channels where you can raise funds on our behalf.
