Earning badges at home.
While some activity badges have requirements of teamwork and being carried out with a leader. There are some that you can help your young person achieve. If you decide to carry out the at home remember to take some relevant pictures and provide the evidence as described in the links below to share with a leader when they sit down to confirm their badge work.
We are talking with local schools to try and strengthen links between their curriculum and our badge award systems. Enabling the young people to gain recognition in their badge work for work at school.
Celebrate achievement
We are all about celebrating achievement and encourage all our members to share their achievements and interests with the group. If your child achieves a recognised award in another activity such as martial arts, swimming or dance then these can be recognised and celebrated in scouts.
